Located on the edge of the escarpment, Blesfontein can be accessed either via a gravel road (off the R354) or from the Tankwa Karoo via the Ouberg Pass (for 4x4s).

We were treated by Nicol to a fun, informative and very interesting talk about the stars while seated around his large telescope. She served lamb chops and potato fries which were delicious. The next morning we visited the Planetarium in Sutherland which is a MUST.
